Research shows that 76% of young Americans would consider buying Chinese electric cars.
IT House reported on May 28 that although American consumers cannot currently buy Chinese brand electric cars, according to a new study, young Americans have shown strong interest in Chinese electric cars. Survey results from research organization AutoPacific show that as many as 76% of Americans under the age of 40 are willing to consider buying Chinese electric cars. Overall, 35% of the 800 respondents aged 18 to 80 surveyed are interested in Chinese electric vehicles. This may be because people over 60 years old are less receptive to Chinese brand electric vehicles, with only 26% willing to buy them. However, 16% of respondents said they would be more inclined to buy Chinese electric vehicles if they were produced in the United States because they believe it would be more supportive of the U.S. economy and local workers.
