Under the leadership of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Aluminum Corporation of China(Chinalco Group), we successfully researched and produced Aluminum Air/Fuel Battery.
The battery can generate electricity only by adding water, is very convenient and noiseless, and its output(aluminum hydroxide Al(OH)3 ) is also green and environmentally friendly.
We call it battery but it is not only for power storage, but also for power generation.
The main shortages of traditional current battery:
1. The service life is short, and it needs to be charged and replaced regularly.
2. The safety is poor and there is a danger of explosion.
3. The battery has a high cost and cannot be discharged very environmentally friendly.
4. Large environmental pollution. The reactants of lithium batteries and lead-acid batteries contain a large amount of heavy metal pollutants, which have a great impact on the environment, and the pollutant treatment cost is high.

Main advantages of aluminum-air batteries are:
1. Aluminum has high specific energy and high conversion efficiency.
2. Strong environmental adaptability, the ambient temperature is -30~+55℃, it can generate electricity as long as there is water, and the power output is full.
3. Safe and reliable, the aluminum electrode air electrode material has stable chemical properties, does not burn or explode, the battery core has a low operating temperature, no mechanical vibration, no fire and explosion and other safety hazards.
4. Green and pollution-free, economical and cost-effective. The raw material resources are abundant, the production of aluminum hydroxide and other aluminum by-products can be recycled and reused, and the manufacturing, operation, and maintenance costs are economic.
